Junk to Funk Recycled Fashion Show Contest!
Junk to Funk is an annual production in Portland, Oregon aimed to educate its audiences about waste reduction, recycling issues and to inspire creative re-use. We do this in a most unique way: through showcasing wearable art and couture fashion based on the creative use of “trash” in an eclectic and often humorous production.

Seven Planet Grand Opening - Old Town Portland
seven planet, the pioneer of mindful commerce and a leader in sustainable goods will open their second green general store this Saturday, September 12, at 412 NW Couch in Portland’s historic Old Town neighborhood.
The store will celebrate by hosting a party open to the public from 4pm to 10pm in conjunction with the Old Town Block Party, a large benefit event organized by area businesses.

It will be a clearance sale of sorts, and there will be deep discounts on all items to make way for fall stock... There are only two more Last Thursdays this year, so come on out and savor the end of summer.

On Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 11am to 6pm, Art on Alberta will hold its 10th Annual Art Hop with the theme, “Coming Home.” 17 blocks of NE Alberta Street will be closed to car traffic to accommodate over 150 artists, craftspeople, music, dance and theater performances, interactive art events along with food and other vendors. Two stages are being sponsored by Binks and Siren Nation.
